Reopening Friday, May 29 safely

The campsite reopens Friday safely and launches the initiative for Cremonese and Lombards: One night in a tent with the family…

Friday, May 29 reopens the campsite in Cremona. The manager Consorzio Solco announces with enthusiasm that restarts the activity at the structure of Via del Sale, putting in place rigid protocols anti contagion and new projects to help restart even the tourism sector of Cremona.

Through the Cooperative Nazareth, in these days the Consortium is finishing the preparatory interventions for the reopening safely: sanitization of common areas, set up with information boards on the rules to be respected, sanitizing products available to campers, delimitation of pitches with minimum distance. These interventions are added to the routine work already carried out and underway to make the structure more beautiful and functional: the roof of the common bathrooms has been redeveloped (which according to regional lines will be sanitized 3 times a day) and the mowing of the grass and small maintenance operations are in progress.

The campsite will then be ready for the reopening of Friday, May 29, in Covid-free version and with offers of pleasant stays, close to home, open air, cheap and safe. Even safer given that at Cremona Camping check in and check out are already possible at a distance, for those arriving in campers and even for those staying in tents, through an automated and active 24-hour system of completion.

We have already been contacted by several campers and campers from Lombardy who want to come to Cremona and stay at our campsite – says Giusi Biaggi, President of the Consortium Solco – This means that there is a desire to return to travel and do so by making experiences of tourism in nature, safe, close to home, At low prices and that offer the opportunity to put together the culture of our city with the progressive opening of tourist sites and entertainment with the start of activities at the Park Padan Colonies, scheduled for mid-June.

The Cremona Camping, until it is possible to move between the regions (by decree on June 3), will be dedicated to Cremona and Lombard campers. For this he proposes to spend a night in a tent or camper with the family. To make a holiday test, maybe different, below home – explains Giusi Biaggi – To make children experience the emotion of a new adventure, in nature and in the family. The Consortium will also work on packages that focus on the tourist experience, combining the stay at the campsite with cultural tours, river navigation, bike rides, gastronomic events, visits to the social farm Regenerate or climb to the suspended itineraries of the nearby Adventure Park. In addition, it will make available to parishes, grest and summer camps, groups of teenagers who want to make educational, formative and aggregative experiences in nature and in safety.

STATEMENT BY BARBARA MANFREDINI

A season definitely different and that starts uphill, but to be taken as an opportunity to relaunch a type of holiday proximity, sustainable, outdoor, economic. Already appreciated and practiced by many, even in Cremona. Since May 2017, that is from the beginning of the Solco management, the numbers of the campsite have always been growing. In 2019, the campsite registered 4355 arrivals, 28.8% more than in 2018, and 4707 overnight stays, 4.6% more in 2018 and almost double the last three years of activity (from 2012 to 2014) of the old campsite in the Golenale area.

The Camping Parco al Po is located in via del Sale less than 1 km from the center of Cremona; it is a fully automated area under video surveillance with access 24 hours a day, with 56 camper pitches each with electricity and water connection, a large area for tents and campers, along with a building with bathrooms and showers for ladies and gentlemen and also for people with disabilities, a locker room for runners and athletes and a lounge with reception where to find drinks, ice cream, second courses and organic food and products for sale.
